Serials Committee

Purpose:

The Serials Operational Committee (SOC) exists to support member libraries and facilitate cooperative efforts toward providing CLIC library users with access to materials by creating and maintaining efficient systems for receiving and processing library materials.  The SOC will address serials functions such as creating and maintaining records, check-in, claiming, binding, and union listing.  The SOC will work with: the Cataloging Operational Committee in creating and maintaining bibliographic and holdings data, the Acquisitions Operational Committee regarding ordering and budget control, and the E-Journals Community of Interest to help maintain access to e-journals in the OPAC.
