On May 31, 2017, CLIC is replacing CLICnet and Summon with a new system that will allow searching across all library resources, including print books, e-books, journal articles, films, online reference, and more. The CLIC Discovery/Primo group has recommended that a unified name be used across all institutions in order to acknowledge and promote the value of CLIC (i.e., includes “CLIC”).

CLIC’s System Rollout Task Force invites you to submit names for CLIC’s new discovery service. Please encourage your staff, students, and faculty to submit their suggestions. Use this survey form to submit your suggestion for a name for the new discovery layer.

The deadline to submit a name is Monday, February 13, 2017. There will be an opportunity to vote on the names later in February.

The CLIC System Rollout Task Force includes Serena Giese (Bethel), Megan Johnson-Saylor (Concordia), Louann Terveer (Hamline), Jessica Moore (Northwestern), LeAnn Suchy (St. Catherine), and Andrea Koeppe (St. Thomas). The Task Force is charged with naming the new discovery service and with developing a promotional plan for introducing the new brand to the CLIC community.
