Alma Onsite Workshop, Feb 28-March 2

Online registration is now available for the three-day Alma Workshop at the University of St. Thomas, February 28, March 1, and March 2. Please indicate on the registration form which sessions/lunches you are planning to attend each day. See below for Workshop locations, agenda, goals, prerequisites, format, expectations, and outcomes.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. All Implementation Team members and staff taking the Alma certification training in April should register for the full three days. Other CLIC member library staff may attend sessions as needed. Please check with your library director or your Implementation Team representative if you are unsure whether you need to attend or if you need to know which sessions to attend.


Alma Three-Day Workshop


Revise and expand staff understanding of Alma functionality.
Prepare to define and train on local workflows using Alma.
Identify areas for tuning configuration.
Identify areas for more detailed later discussion.


Alma initial training completed.
Alma production environment delivered. [Note: this was delivered February 8.]


Demonstration-led discussion. [Note: hands-on exercises are NOT included, and participant laptops are purely optional.]


Subject matter experts on the project team will be available for relevant discussions.
Attendees will be prepared to discuss their needs, the work they perform, and their understanding of Alma.
The project manager or designated library project member will record action items for later follow-up.
Room requirements: sized for number of attendee, and podium, projector, and internet access for the presenters. [Note: see Agenda below for room locations.]


Revised or expanded understanding of workflows.
List of action items for follow-up after the workshop.
