  • New, revised, and deleted MARC bibliographic records in Alma must pass through the following operations before they are available in or removed from Primo:
    1. Network Publishing Job (Alma enhances records with inventory and authority date, publishes them to a holding pen)
    2. Primo Harvest from Alma (Primo harvests the records from the holding pen, filters them through normalization rules and other processes to create PNX records; some revised records may be available at this point)
    3. Indexing and Hot-swapping (Primo indexes the PNX records, uses PNX elements to construct brief and full record displays, facets, browse content, some availability information, and so forth)
  • New, revised, and deleted inventory (holdings and item records, e-collection/service and portfolio records) and their data are available in or removed from Primo immediately
